Recently, Dewi Liana Seriestha, who was crowned Miss Malaysia World in 2014, received a Certificate of Charter Membership from the Lions Club. Dewi Liana's diverse heritage adds a unique dimension to her achievements and community contributions. 

Liana's mother is of Dayak Bidayuh descent, a native ethnic group from Borneo, while her father is originally from Indonesia. Despite living in Malaysia, the Seriestha family has always maintained strong ties to their Indonesian heritage.

Commitment to cultural preservation

Dewi Liana's commitment to cultural preservation and promotion is evident through her active involvement in various cultural initiatives. She has dedicated significant efforts to promoting the rich arts and traditions of the Dayak community. 

One of her notable contributions was her participation in the First International Dayak Cultural Congress, held in Bengkayang, West Kalimantan, from June 3 to 6, 2017. During this event, Dewi Liana not only served as a speaker but also showcased her musical talents by performing traditional Dayak songs. Her performances were well-received and played a crucial role in raising awareness about Dayak culture on an international platform.

In addition to her cultural endeavors, Dewi Liana is a passionate advocate for various social causes. She leverages her platform and influence to support initiatives related to education, health, and women's empowerment.
